Cousin Lori just gave me the English name for Maskros = Dandilion. True weed of weeds in the States too??? As kids we blew the "thingies" off the flower - thus sharing the "joy" with all of the neighbours... :-)

People here sometimes make Maskrosvin/Dandilion wine. Have never tried it though, so I can't say if it tastes good or not. Would be something for the man at home to try...

Do y'all eat the leaves in the spring too? They're supposed to be a good tonic. I put them in my gumbo. Yum!
